Crop Field Performance Dashboard
How this is computed: the field's average NDVI over its last detected season, compared with the municipality-wide average over its last season. NDVI measures canopy greenness (a proxy for biomass), not grain yield. Each season is detected independently, so the two date windows may differ slightly — read the value as a rough "greener or browner than the town average," not an exact figure.

Year-over-year (this field)
The field's vegetation index across agricultural years (Aug 15 – Aug 31), current year highlighted. Sowing / SOS / POS / EOS marked.

Current season: field vs. municipality
The field's index vs the Medianeira mean for the current agricultural year, with sowing / SOS / POS / EOS marks.
Sentinel-1 Radar (cloud-free)
SAR sees through clouds, filling the gaps optical NDVI leaves in the rainy season. RVI tracks canopy structure; VH/VV are relative backscatter levels (uncalibrated dB, for temporal comparison).
Radar Vegetation Index (RVI)
VH & VV backscatter (relative dB)
Detected crop seasons by agricultural year
Every crop cycle detected from the NDVI history, one row per agricultural year (Aug–Jul). Each bar runs from estimated sowing to end of season (EOS, the harvest proxy); the dot marks peak vigour (POS). A faded bar is a season still in progress.
Medianeira – Daily Precipitation & Temperature
NASA POWER daily climate data for the Medianeira municipality centroid. Bars = precipitation (mm); lines = temperature min/mean/max (°C).

Weather forecast — next 16 days
16-day daily forecast for the selected field location. Bars = precipitation (mm); lines = min/max temperature (°C). This is a forecast, not observed data.

Region imagery — whole municipality
Cloud-masked Sentinel-2 mosaics over all of Medianeira for the selected date: true colour, false colour (NIR), and NDVI. Transparent where clouds were masked.

Territorial context
Land cover (MapBiomas) and forest loss (Hansen GFC) for the whole municipality are shown as map overlays — use the Land cover and Forest buttons on the map. Legend below.
This field — land cover history
Yearly land-cover class breakdown inside the selected field (MapBiomas 2018–2023).
This field — forest loss
Hansen GFC forest loss detected inside the field boundary.
Municipal crop statistics — IBGE PAM
Official annual crop statistics for the whole municipality (IBGE, Produção Agrícola Municipal). These are municipality totals, not per-field values.
Yield (kg/ha)
Average yield = production / area harvested. Drought years show up as sharp dips.
💡 Click a year in the legend to show or hide it.
Area & production
Bars = area planted and harvested (ha); line = production (tonnes).
💡 Click a year in the legend to show or hide it.
Read with care: PAM is a municipality aggregate published with a ~1–2 year lag, so the most recent seasons may be missing. Its “Milho” combines the 1st and 2nd (safrinha) crops, so it cannot be compared one-to-one with the safrinha detected here.
